Style: Session IPA
Brewery: Lawson’s Finest Liquids
3 5 0 1
Always a fan of the stuff Lawson's is working on, although some of their Super Session's have been a bit boring lately, which I can only assume is in part due to being contract brewed at Two Roads Brewing in CT, with less oversight on the process and ingredients potentially.
A fluffy, creamy NEIPA
Appearance5/5 GreatGolden brown, with a nice quarter inch head. No lacing, and it dissipated quickly.
Smell3/5 AverageMellow, a little bit like citrus with a hint of peach maybe.
Taste2/5 Not greatBitter, acrid, sort of like a toothy green vegetable branch, like biting into the rind of a lemon or lime and licking your tongue.
Mouthfeel2/5 Not greatWatery, thin, not much going on, but again at under 5% abv it would be hard to get much in this department without lactose or non-fermentables.
Overall3/5 AverageThis may have been my least favorite Super Session, if you couldn't gather from the notes above. It just missed any of the good notes from other variants. I do like Galaxy hops, but this did not make them shine.
